These are the people I was talking about. Some people actually haven't even given the idea of gun ownership or the Second Amendment a second thought. You don't want their introduction to the issue to be based on deception.

I don't want those people period. They made up their mind by NOT ACTING already. ;)

Hey! I wasn't being snarky! Maybe a little snide mixed with sarcasm but never snarky LOL

Sorry I didn't have a more up to date show, I don't watch much TV.

It's ok. You caught me doing what I was complaining about ... I deserved it. :D

Hey ... don't tell anyone, I watch NCIS (the original version).

There's a NUKE button??? Why wasn't I informed? Where is it?

You can't handle the truth and thus why we did not tell you about it.

Glad that the girl is alright, but who leaves an 11 yr old at home alone?
My parents left me home alone at 9 but I was a good kid, well disciplined, and had ready access to a small aresenal, but I never needed a gun so I never touched a gun when my dad was gone. I had all the training on safety firearms usage that 4-H and my dad had to offer. I would have had no problem loading up the NEF 20ga and blowing a BG out of his socks if need be. I still have the NEF by the way, killed my first deer with it when I was 12 and it has great sentimental value.

Mom and Dad left her alone in the house, and the creepos knew there were guns to steal there? Mom and Dad also did not apparently give her a drill to follow if someone broke in, and to top it off, left her with a .22 bolt action with two rounds? Good thing it wasn't a more determined gang, or else this story would have had a very different outcome.

Now everyone knows her parents leave her alone at home with a SINGLE SHOT .22 with two rounds handy.

If Mom and Pop plan on doing this again they'd better get her an upgrade.

Reminds me of the story a few years back where an elderly widow in Chicago defended herself with an un-permitted handgun, which the CPD confiscated (and the media duly reported).

Notice to home invaders: come prepared, and the second time's a charm!

The gun was loaded with 2 rds? Its a 1 rd capacity gun(SINGLE SHOT). :n00b: Glad she didnt have to fire it. That would have been a stressful reload for someone who just learned how to use the thing days earlier.

    Loaded with one round.

That's even better info for would-be burglars...

If these guys had been real thugs, different outcome.

those are situations no one wants their children to be in let alone themselves. glad it ended like it did and her not being harmed don't really care if she would have shot them as long as it didn't cause her any problems emotionally which i hear a lot of people have problems with but good for her for standing up for herself
