    Just joined Jan 25. Looking forward to learning more from all the great threads. Currently shopping for either a Springfield XD or XDM or a Smith M&P. Leaning toward .45 but might still consider .40. Any opinions?

    You'll find you'll get better repsonses for your questions by posting them in the appropriate sub-forum.

    But I've got a .40 XDm and can highly recommend it. I've never shot the .45 version, so I can't give you an honest comparison, but if you want the .40 it's GTG.
