I recently got my lifetime handgun permit and also purchased a Glock 17 Gen4. I have been searching for quality IWB holsters but I figured that I would be better off coming here to gain some input as to what companies I should look into. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone would be so kind as to share there experiences with any particular IWB holsters.

The only true IWB holster I had owned was from Blade-Tech. Kydex, well made and comfortable but IWB just wasn't my thing. My favorite holster companies are Raven Concealment Systems and Comp-Tac. I own several products from each company and between the 2 you should be able to find something that fits the bill! I daily carry something in a Raven and compete with a Raven for my Glock 21 and use a Comp-Tac for competition for my G34.

Galco King Tuk, IWB hybrid holster. I routinely carry either a Glock 19 or 26 in it. Carry it about the 5:30 position. Get a good belt as well. I recommend the Daltech Force Biobelt.

I'll second what WebSnyper said about the Good Belt! A good belt can make a terrible holster work well! I'm a fan of Comp-Tac's leather but my favorite is the Ares Gear Ranger Belt. Expensive but worth every penny!

Contact Andrew at Henry Holsters. He'll get you fixed up with exactly what you want and you'll be supporting a Hoosier owned/operated small business as well as an INGO member. You won't find better craftsmanship or attention to detail.

I tried a crossbreed and mtac before getting my henry holster. My henry holster is hands down my favorite.

Like Phylodog said, the owner of Henry holsters is a hoosier and a small business man. He also helped me decide what position to wear the holster and helped me with my draw stroke.

These guys are totally correct about the importance of a good belt. I went through a few stout general purpose belts and an NRA branded gunbelt before breaking down and buying a bull hide with kydex stiffner gun belt from comp-tac. I wish I had bought it years ago. I should have bought it way before I ever started carrying,
