    Which one!?
I've had a 26 and traded it for a xds which I ended up getting rid of. I regret trading the 26.
I currently have a 36, and its sweet to carry and alright to shoot, but I just am not thrilled about always having to have an extra mag on me. Also the 36 isn't much smaller than my 19. And that brings me to my dilemma, I have many mags for my 19 but only 3 for my 36, I loved the fact that the 26 uses the 19 and 17 mags.
My thinking is , sell/trade the 36 and get a gen 4 26, then later buy a 4in 1911 for my only 45acp as I am kind of done with poly 45's
    Thoughts?

I had a 36. It was ok but I couldn't shoot it worth a crap. Traded it for a 26 and haven't looked back. Much more user friendly and more accessories too.

I just got a 26 for compatibility with my 19. The 26 will replace my cm9 as my edc. Also if you need a holster for it I just got a silent thunder GT. Fantastically thin and tuckable. Thinner than my cm9 with it's holster.

Plus the 26 is cheaper to feed

The G36 has been one finicky beast in my experience. I've seen many which were extremely ammo sensitive. I'd go with a G26.

26 all day every day especially since you have a 19, but still carry at least 1 extra mag if not more (I saw you mentioned not liking to carry extra mags, but always carry at least one just to be able to handle malfunctions).

    5 inch WILSON COMBAT 1911

Lol, I love INGO. Wilson Combat is always an option. I'd love to have one, some day. Of course, for the price of one you could buy 2 g26 (akimbo is also always an option) a skid of 9mm ammo, a week at gunsite, and the plane tickets to get there.

...which is kinda the point. Why bother with someone else's mass production 4 inch 1911 when the money could be better spent on ANY of Glocks 9mm and training.

I should have clarified a lil better, I don't mind carry an extra mag , but the glock 36 mag is just thick for a single stack compared to a 1911 mag for an example.

I had a 36 and sold it to a member her with full disclosure about FTF and stove-piping. This happened several times with different, quality carry ammo (Gold Dots, HSTs, Rangers.) I had 3-4 failures in the first 100 rounds. That's way too high of a percentage for a carry gun. The 26 (and 27) are sweet guns - super accurate and dependable.

I would go with the G26 myself. And, yeah, I can't afford a Wilson Combat either...not even close. :(

I rock the 26. Looking back though I wish I would have bought the 27. It is my understanding that if you buy the 40 caliber guns, a barrel and magazine swap will turn it into the 9mm version. I don't plan to have any 40 cal sitting around, but it would be a good option to have.
