Any of you guys own or know anyone that owns a Glock 30 or 36? I really like the 21, just wondering what people think of those models for CC. Negative or positive thoughts? Thanks all.

I have a G21 and had a G30. G30 is a fine gun, it has the wide slide like the 21 but I concealed it nicely. I would still have it if that 1911 didn't pop up for trade from a friend. I carry a G19 daily and the G30 wasn't much worse to hide. It's thicker though. I can't comment on a G36 as I haven't had one yet. :):

I have a 36 and it carries great. I carry it while I work--all the time. I carry it in a Crossbreed with one of their belts and it is as if it isn't there. I almost bought the 30 but decided against it becasue of the extra width.

I've got a G36 that I carried quite a bit until I purchased a couple of Kahrs. It wasn't too bad to carry, but now it spends alot of time in the safe.

I have a 30, 21 and a 27. The 30 is my favorite to shoot. Picked up the 27 for added concealability, but the 30 is probably my overall favorite.

Love and carry everyday my g30 sf. The sf doesn't change the thick slide, but I do so very much love shooting this gun. Very controllable .45 for the size that I trust with my life.

A good friend of mine has an early G36 that he has had FTF, FTE, stovepiping.. A true lemon, I've shot it, and it has failed for me as well. I believe it is riding his safe to oblivion at this point.

Even if it were to work "perfection"ly, I doubt i'd ever opt for it if it were sitting next to a nice Gen2 or early Gen3 G19. There is just no way to justify the round count loss versus the size difference there, IMO. :twocents:

Has your friend tried contacting Glock about these issues?

Not that I know of. Any problem like this has a possible resolution, but.. in it's current state or repaired by Glock, I fear it will still ride the safe, as the G19/23 flat out trumps it as a carry piece.

Thanks guys! Seems like a lot of people I talk to like the 1911's too. What type of 1911 did you get FordTough?

Oh I have 3 of them, I swapped the G30 for a Para GI Expert. Love it too. I OC 1911's quite often and have no problems doing that. But I carry my G19 more often covered up. G30 is a good gun, if you're worried about the width go with the G36. I see another smallish Glock in my future next year. :D

I agree on the G19 being a great carry gun but I would still call Glock on the G36 and get it checked out. At least take it to a shop with a Glock armorer. He want to get rid of it? :D

Both the G30 and G36 are great guns. I pref the G30 because of the extra capacity, but both are good to go. The G30 is my favorite .45 I have ever shot. The extra width of the grip on the G30 doesn't bother me.

I have a 30 and 36. I dont carry the 30 its just too wide and heavy. I rotate a few guns and the 36 is in the rotation and it carries great and no issues with it. Both are great choices but if i could only have one it would definintly be the 36.

I carry a glock 30 every day in a iwb holster. It is my favorite .45 for carry and to fire at the range. I have fired a couple of thousand rounds all different kinds, store bought and reloads no problems at all it always fired and extracted everything. My only issue sometimes is it is a bit heavy and I tend to tighten my belt alittle too tight and it becomes hard to draw.
