    The .50 GI isnt worth the extra money. Its cool and all, but its a play thing. I wouldnt spend close to 50 bucks a box to shoot a regular handgun. Id much rather shoot the .500 S&W (idk how well itd work, I have decent sized hands) than the .50 GI.

    Also,The entrance/exit wound isnt too much different than a .45 ACP.

    The gel tests of the .50 GI are okay, but nothing extraordinary. Brassfetcher did some.

    Having shot one, it's meh. A bit more recoil but that's it. It sounds dismal compared to standard .45 +P, so you aren't going to turn heads at the range.

    While being impressive in weight and numbers, the velocity is fairly dismal for the mystique attached to the idea of a handheld .50. :(
