Im thinking of doing a grip reduction and frame stippling on my g21. Has anyone here done this or had it done? Would like to know how you feel about the results.

I have had stippling done on my G19, I bought it used that way. It sure makes the gun a lot more grippy and it's permenent. My buddy does a good job at it. He uses a soldering iron. Good luck with it. Post some pics when you are done.

I dont like to permanently mod any of my guns but I see a lot of people that do the training classes that have had grip reduction mod done, I like to try an M&P some time with texture grip but the thing that stops me is once all the mods are done cost is way high so just may go with a custom gun all together.

The February, 2013 edition of Concealed Carry magazine had an entire article with photos on this very subject. G19 to boot!

I would suggest a lot of practice before you get to doing it on your own gun. Practice on AR pistol grips, pmag, magpul forgrips, even a blue gun. There should be lots of resources online for do it yourself stipple jobs. One mod I recommend is undercutting the trigger guard where it meets the grip. Even a little bit changes the feel and allows you to grip even higher up on the pistol more effectively.

It's not terribly difficult. Just take it slow until you get the hang of it.
