    Ayoob I can believe, if you listened to all his horror stories you'd never carry, Guy surprises me though.

    I think the "horror stories" are intended to encourage people to approach carry with the seriousness and professionalism it deserves (rather than with a careless, cavalier attitude).

    I remember reading "In the Gravest Extreme," for the first time and thinking I hope it never comes to that - which is EXACTLY the right attitude to have (even though you have to be 100% willing if it DOES come to that).

    That's a good goal but highlighting these rare or unlikely scenarios may discourage new carriers or those just exploring armed self-defense. But you are taking a more broad approach to carry in general vs. the original issue of just modifying your trigger which should improve your skill with the gun vs. say disabling a safety or some other modification.
