Here's my observation after a few fighting pistol type courses.
I've not seen a Sig "Fail" with a type I, II, or III malfunction that wasn't introduced by intentionally installing dummy rounds in the magazines.
(Although TomN didn't bring his P220's to class today either.)
I've not seen a Glock "Fail" with a type I, II, or III malfunction that wasn't introduced by intentionally installing dummy rounds in the magazines.
I have seen Kahr pistols, Kel Tec pistols, and at least one 1911 pistol (unknown origin) fail with several of the above.
This leads me to believe it's pretty hard to go wrong with a Glock or a Sig
