The Wings Of Freedom tour is at Griffith-Merrilville Airport. For anyone in this area....GO!!!!! It is too cool. If you like WWII planes this experience is unbeatable. They have a B-24 Liberator, a B-17 Flying Fortress, and a 2-seater P-51 Mustang. They are offering rides in all of the planes but the price is definately up there. but other than the rides its 12 bucks to tour the planes. And when i say tour i mean i walked around and inside both the of the bombers. it was amazing. definately more than worth the $12. the P-51 was out on a passenger flight when we got there so we even had the privilage to see it fly in and land, then taxi right in front of us.

Anyone who can make it there it is totally worth it. All planes were in WWII although the B-24 was the only one that actually saw combat. But even still none are reproductions, so its living/flying history that you can touch and get up close. Highlight of my week for sure. :rockwoot:
