I was in Gander Mountain yesterday looking around in the Firearms section. There was a family there purchasing a shotgun. The father was filling out paperwork for the son. The boy was about 14 or so. It sounded like he was getting the shotgun with gift cards and Christmas money. Anyway, the mother asked the son, "Will this complete your collection now?" and the boy answered

"Mom the collection will never be complete!"

There is a boy that was raised right...LOL

And I'm gonna bet the next time you see an official photo of the kid it may well be in dress blues in front of a flag, not holding a mug shot card. Way to go Mom and Dad. Very good.

I think if more parents lead by example like that, then we would have a lot less kids being "curious" with the gun collection Dad has.
