    How much do you want to spend? Sky is the limit.
    that is the purpose of the Question

    Good = Starting - <$ 500
    Better = Work in Progress - $ 500 - $ 1000
    Best = Competion - $ 1000 +

    I see threads with Target posts with 50 2" circles and all shots On-Target .... but starting out would be 5" circles :)

    I have a Browning T bolt left handed that I would put into the "better" category. It could come down to how many "X" you have with it as long as you do your part.

    Dunno if good or not, but a Savage Mkii TR is about $600 list.
    Same for a sporter 457 CZ.
    While a diff kind of competition, check what the NRL22 guys at the top end are using. Know some are running Vudoo.
    New Anschutz stuff seems to be 2500 and up

    Another vote for Browning t bolt. I've had a couple Rugers and they're popular partly due to being very available, proven, affordable (to start) and excellent aftermarket. Someday I'd like a CZ rimfire but until then I really like my Browning.

    this would be a perfect start - just need to find a Left Hand Bolt version
    Unfortunately ruger didn't make the 10/22 left handed to my knowledge until a couple years ago. And it's their competition model which is like $8-900.

    Not sure if there's any support in the aftermarket for a left handed receiver or not

    Off the shelf or full blown custom?

    Or a oldie but goodies a Winchester 52C.

    Nothing will be great without great .22 ammo.
    A few years ago a friend called me up to ask if I might be interested in a couple of firearms ha had for sale.
    I thought it was a rhetorical question lol.
    I ended up buying his grandfather's 1885 Low Wall, but it was not stock.
    This Low Wall started life out as a .22 short.
    Someone, years ago, decided it should be .22lr instead, so they used a Winchester model 52 host and re-barreled the Low Wall.

    They also put on some kind of benchrest type stock so it's lines are wrong, the caliber is wrong, and the stock is "chunky", but it shoots lights out.
    It quickly became one of my favorite .22's, and I gave $200 for it.

    It's hard to believe how well those old 52s shoot. The trigger when properly adjusted is like 1 lb

    If you look at National rimfire competitions, CZ MTR seems to dominate the factory classes. I'd say that is your under $1000 best option.

    Over $1000, better get your checkbook out and don't expect a $3500 Vudoo (Stiller, Turbo, etc.) to be seven times more accurate than a $500 CZ!
