What does something like that run on the budget side?
    For personal use.
Not expensive. The hardest part will be powering them at the target.
Target side (you'll need 110v at the target)
    1. Amazon product ASIN B0B9QHFRXH2. https://store.ui.com/us/en/pro/category/all-wireless/products/locom5

Firing line side. (AC power here as well)
    3. https://store.ui.com/us/en/pro/category/all-wireless/products/locom5
    4 Amazon product ASIN B07HY235YY
With that setup, the camera (1) watches the target.
it sends the image to 2, which beams it to the bench where it is received by 3.
Your phone connects to 4 and displays the image via the camera's interface.

Damn. That's salty. How is that better than the tripod with micro adjustments? Genuinely curious since that super expensive stand doesnt convey its value.
Because like my vintage Freeland stand. I can add height to it and just turn my head when shooting prone, sitting or standing. I can also set it next to a bench and it takes up zero bench sq footage.
Cant do that with a tripod. They are everything a tripod is not.

This is a good idea. And for a temporary setup, you could probably run the target end off of a couple of car batteries in series. Would be a lot to lug to the range each time though.

I think I need to get one now. At this point I just need one to see 22 caliber at 100 yards. That’s too far to trot back and forth to check hits. i looked at some I thought the price was okay only to discover you had to buy the lenses and tripod separate. Sheesh, what’s up with that.

any pros and cons having it straight vs. angled?

All depends upon how you will use it. Think about where you would expect to have it normally, and the angle you would have to contort into to see each.
I guess when prone, straight would be better. Sitting or standing then angled...
