Have you not watched prime time TV or Cable ?
Do you have any kids that ride the school bus ?
The P word is pretty mild on the scale of offensive words.

I understand that his language was mild compared to some cable shows.
But, prime time TV is heavily regulated compared to late night TV and cable.
He should have known that.
The announcer/moderator sure knew.

It's not fair, but, as a conservative pundit, he is held to a different, and more strict, standard.
If that had been a liberal talking about Ted Cruz, they would have gotten a pass.
