    She ended up going with a ruger lcp but she liked the s&w also. I would have preferred she got one with a safety but her choice.

    No safety is always a good choice! Especially for a defensive handgun! She chose well!

    Good choice on the LCP, my wife chose the LCR.

    Please consider the purse carry. Many times the target of theft for a female is her purse. A grab and run is common. Obviously losing control of her purse, even in a struggle, is an issue. The purse can become hard to access in a fight, upright or on the ground. There is lots to consider, just think things through.

    Just bought her the new Taurus model 605. The balance and grip are really nice.....can even shoot hot 357 loads without much snap!
