What would you consider to be a good price for once fired brass. Now keep in mind its not cleaned or deprimed.

    What cal. well we will say 5.56, 9mm, 40cal, 45 ACP,38 and 357, and 5.7
Lets try to do this by the 500 count.

Midway sells Once fired mixed headstamp by the 1000 cnt for $41.49, this is seasonal though so you have to watch when it's available.

    Once-Fired Reloading Brass 40 S&W Grade 3 Box of 1000 (Bulk Packaged) - MidwayUSA

Now if you took the time to sort and ensure that it was all reloadable brass of the same cal or headstamp you could charge for that labor.

    But I'm not sure.

So I would say for 500 $20-22 would not be unreasonable to me anyway.:twocents:

Yes we will have a little bit of brass at Indy for sale! 1000 rounds of 40 cal, 2000 rounds of 9mm, about 1000 rounds of 45 or more, 2500 - 3000 rounds of 5.56. and I will honer that price I posted here on this board. All I can say is hurry in it won't last long.

Were in the main room 2 isles left of center middle back of the room. Look for the end cap covered with the American flag tble cloths

When I bought some 9mm brass to reload I checked the BST areas of all the big gun forums. I found a guy selling 3000 9mm brass once tumbled for $50...he actually sent me closer to 4000. In my sorting so far I've found about 45% Federal and 45% Winchester and 10% all kinds of other stuff. I believe it was either "the firing line" or "the high road" that has a large BST for reloading stuff. Lots of brass deals on there all the time.

I was trying to find it for $15 / 1000 and essentially succeeded. $25/1000 I would say keep looking. (This is only for 9mm as it's all I'm experienced with.)

I have not seen a "good" price for brass in a very long time.

Last time I bought pistol brass I paid ~$25 shipped for 1k 9mm and 1k .40S&W (2k total). This was once fired brass swept up at the ammo factory. That was probably 5 years ago. At the rate I lose/pickup brass, it'll last me a good number of years.

During the shortage I traded a box of primers (~$30) for 1,000 .38 SPL brass.

In the height of the shortage I paid $100 for 500 .223 brass (not NATO, no crimps) and 500 .30 carbine brass from a friend. (All with the same headstamp.)

Once Fired Brass, Once fired 9mm, Once fired .40, Reloading supplies, Pistol brass, cast bullets

Obviously dont pay anymore than there. If you PM me I will send you the link to a dealer I work with some that sells processed brass for a touch more, and will usually do 1000 cases free with 1000 bullets.

I have never been to the 1500, but I have tried to stay away from gun show brass. Most of it seems to vary in quality and cost about the same as what I can get it online (shipped). If you do buy brass at the 1500, try to bundle it with bullets. I did get some deals doing that at the South Bend show a few months back.

I just got a deal yesterday at the scrap yard. I was selling my aluminum cans and a guy a couple spots back in line had a cart with 2 - 5 gallon buckets of brass that he was scrapping. I told him I would give him $2.00 a pound on what we could estimate the weight to be by hand. We came up with 60lbs per bucket. In just my rough sorting of the brass by caliber it is about 80 percent 223 and the rest is 9mm. He said he brings this amount in about once a month from his personal range use. I didn't get nosy about who he was or why he practiced so much because he seemed to not want to divulge much info.
