Killed a nice one last Saturday afternoon.
Its the first chance that I've had to chase turkeys with a shotgun this fall.
I have been seeing a bunch of toms while bowhunting so I pretty well had them patterened.
Got set up at about 3:30pm. and he came by at 5:30 with a couple of his buddies. No calling. I dropped him at appx. 45 yds. with a Mossy 835 stoked with WWSupreme 3.5" #6 shot. At the shot he dropped and one of his friends came over and flogged him. I stood up and walked about 10 yds. before he took off.
My first double bearded turkey. Been turkey hunting for 23 years and have probably killed 18 turkeys, all typical. Needless to say I was estatic!
Pictures are in my profile if you want to look. Beats me how to post them in a thread. :dunno:
    Stats: 11=1/4" & 7-1/2" beard
    1" spurs
    17 pounds.
    Anybody else have success?

    Congratulations Mike

I have yet to try fall turkey hunting but it seems like you've got the program down.

I'm far from a turkey expert but those seem to be some dandy beard lengths.

If you can figure out how to post a picture, I for one would love to see it.

Congrats on the bird! Those 835 are turkey slayers, they must have turkey radar cause the few people I know who have them get spring and fall turkeys each year.
