Went out to my test site on Base for a few hours. The temp was mid 20's and cloudy, as usual. Decided to wear my old Military clothing instead of my Berber Fleece. It worked pretty well. Base layer was thermal bottoms and just a t-shirt top. Mid layer was the fleece liner pants for the GoreTex and a PolyPro Top. I also wore the fleece liner top and my outer layer was GoreTex. I wore my Ranger Pac Boots as well. This combination worked very well and kept me warm. As usual I took my Scout Pack from Cabela's.
Took me almost 45 minutes to make fire. Everything was so wet. I ended up using all my lint, cotton balls and most of my TP. I need more practice on fire making for sure.
