I don't believe anyone should be denied their right to keep and bear arms though unless they've made credible threats which breaks the law.

How do we know the prosecutors would do anything? Mears did nothing before Fed Ex. Just because you have a statute does not mean prosecutors who want more gun control will use a red flag statute.
