California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom wants to change the Constitution to curb gun rights.

"Our ability to make a more perfect union is literally written into the Constitution," Newsom said Thursday. "So today, I’m proposing the 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution to do just that.

His amendment proposal would raise the federal minimum age to purchase a firearm from 18 to 21; mandate universal background checks to purchase firearms; institute a waiting period for all gun purchases; and ban "assault weapons."

Newsom's proposed amendment would also affirm that Congress, states and local governments can enact additional gun control measures.

To his credit (and little of that), a Constitutional amendment is the only actually legal way to really restrict gun rights.
If it's the only actual way to legally restrict gun rights, then how come he keeps signing unconstitutional legislation that restricts gun rights?

For the same reason you keep calling that supermodel to ask for a date. You know you probably dont have a chance, but maybe, just maybe ONE of your requests will be granted. You cant win if you dont play, amirite?

So since I have no chance with that legit supermodel I'll just keep breaking the law and solicit prostitutes (hypnotically speaking) amirite?

If you ever get the chance to browse the calguns forums, you'll read a lot from folks just like us on INGO.
In fact, they have a huge membership number - they're just way outnumbered out there.

In Long Beach I've seen many pro 2A signs, bumper stickers etc. Same in Sonoma. Talking with folks out there, they hate their state government way more than you or I do.

Trust me. They get abused. And it could definitely happen here someday.
