When did ruger make a GP 100 with a so called rounded hammer and Fix sights is it in the same price range of the other GP100 i have a chance to buy one and cant find any info this one. Any info would help ...thanks
Late 80s, early 90s. If you have the serial number you can find out the exact date of production, but good luck finding out if its a factory bobbed hammer or not.

Last year I picked up a lightly used 4", Fixed-sight, GP100 with a factory bobbed hammer for $350. According to my research it was made in 1989. It's easily my favorite revolver and one of the best deals I've gotten on a handgun.
