Figured this could use its own thread.

i’m at Kroger without my wallet :xmad: had $34 in cash in my car but Salvation Army ringer dropped me to $29. With a $2 Diet Coke needed that leaves me only enough for 20lb of pork loin

pork loin is $1.29/lb with card. Wow!

Does the pork loin come pre-spoiled like usual? The last two times I bought pork loin on sale at Kroger it was spoiled within a day of purchase and well before the sell by date both times.

I’ve opened pork that’s given off a sour odor at first that goes away quickly, sometimes with a quick rinse. That’s not unusual. One time it did not go away, so I tossed it.

I've got to remember to go tomorrow. I think their new sales start on Thursday. That's the best price I've seen on it in a long time. I think $1.49 is about as low as I've seen it in recent memory. Thanks Doc!

Kroger $0.99/lb bone in pork shoulder!

Son of a B****. I just got home from grocery shopping and thought I got a good deal on a bone in pork shoulder. I picked a couple up at Meijer for $1.79/lb. I may go get another one and throw in the freezer anyway since I will be doing a big BBQ for my daughters graduation this spring. Thanks for the heads up

I've pretty much stopped buying meat at Meijer. Seems like Kroger generally has better prices on meat, and at least at the ones by us, better selection as well.

The Kroger nearest my house has crappy selection most of the time. Besides, I like the certified angus (beef obviously) at Meijer. But every store is different
