Who says gridlock isn't to be desired? The congressional critters, in a state of gridlock, only managed to pass a paltry 80 bills last session, mostly just minor crap. That's a new record! They were so busy with their pissing matches that they didn't manage to get much of anything done, thank goodness. Here's a happy 2012 and even more gridlock!

It just doesn't get any better than them doing nothing. But they declared war on all Amerikans. Obviously the law is unconstitutional but will take a while to get there. They supporters should be hanged for treason. ....John

I support gridlock in congress. Lets pass less bills and only focus on the stuff that matters. When things are too easy for them, they tend to pass crap, because it seems like they are bored.

I concur. There is a tremendous amount of hand wringing in the media over it and declarations that Americans just want congress to get along and do the peoples business. FAIL!!! Congress is divided because America is divided. Only those easily influenced moderates that don't know what they believe actually care about "Getting the peoples work done".

If checks and balances are in place, then it should be hard to get things through. We should not be in a big rush to change the way our country works. Each change should be looked at and studied, to make sure it is the right decision. Slow everything down and make these people read what they vote for.

Sure there are things that need to happen faster then other things. But right now everything is an emergency. Pass it now or the world will end. Guess what the world will not end. Things will keep moving and we will end up with a more well thought out government. Stop the scare tactics and stop pandering to the lowest common denominator.
