Hello! I’m John and I am from Fort Harrison. My wife and I just got here from the Philippines Last March 2023.

I just bought my first new guns this last few weeks. First one is a Sig Sauer Scorpion Carry and a Springfield Hellcat Pro.

I am really interested with guns since I was a kid so I played a lot of airsoft jungle and cqbs back there. Getting one a real one in PH is so difficult and expensive and guns there is not always for defending. They’re for display only and treat it as a social status symbol. So coming here is like a breath of a fresh air.

I wanted to learn the basics and took basic hand gun training at Indyarms and wanted to continue to competition level. Do you guys know where to train and enroll for that?

Thank you for accepting my application and have a happy holidays!

    Welcome
MCFG has some light competition with Friday night steel and Bowling pins. Nothing super serious mostly for fun.
They could probably direct you to a training class for someone of your skill level.

    Welcome from Boone county.

Tim's shooting academy has a new to competition friendly match the first and third Thursdays of the month. New shirt brief at 1800 hours, first shots at 1830 hours.

I would encourage you to come and observe a match before shooting.

Welcome to the land of the free, where you are a citizen, not a subject. Act like it.

Guns, "they're not just for breakfast anymore..."
That's a joke that you probably won't get.
    Don't feel too bad.
There are a lot of the younger generation that won't get it either.
Welcome to the United States of America, to Indiana, and to Ingo.

We really do appreciate the introduction, but I'm curious.
What brought you to Indiana from the Phillipines?
Was it work, or studies, or are you simply trying to escape oppression...?
If it's too personal, tell me where to go with my question.

I'm always fascinated by other cultures.

Hi Mgderf! We went here because my wife is a nurse and found a job here in the US. Her employer is in Indianapolis so yeah. Nurses and all medical related jobs there were all underpaid so we have no choice but to leave the country. Our dream is to go here and raise a family. My parents and my sister are in California and have no intention of transferring there LOL.
