New official military issue SPEAR backpack made by Gregory Mountain Products. Fully adjustable internal frame pack with gobs of pockets and compression straps. Also includes compression panel on the back that converts to seating.
This is a very large pack. Designed for heavy loads in a rough environment. Has removable side pockets and includes original product manual. Manual is very thorough and explains how to fit the pack using all of the straps and adjustment slots.
You can make it weigh less by removing the extra compression straps, the brain, and the side pockets... which would make it a very good week or long weekend backpacking pack.
From what I understand, this pack is no longer offered. (I don't understand much. My wife is the hiker.) This particular one was issued to an east coast unit and was never used. You can find price comparisons by searching "Gregory UM21" on ebay. Not exactly the same but the closest I could find in 5 minutes. $100 obo
