Can anyone recommend or know someone that does stippiling of handgun grips in Nwi?

If you were closer I would do it for you. Check out Nashs Gunworkx. Cory is out of indy and does a excellent job for a good price. Also has a fast turnaround.

You could try cross sabre gunsmithing in Kouts.

It's not at all aesthetically pleasing, but I put a piece of "safety tape" aka "skate-board tape" on the front strap of my stock Colt 1911 ($2.98 for a package of 5) and it works as good as the 30 lpi checkering on my Wilson
