    1. You must have an iron grip!
    2. I'm no slouch in the strength department, but I'm not in your league!

I run the factory grips as well. I have tried others including Crimson Trace lasers. Right now my J frame has the stock grips. 40+ with arthritis and the gun shoots fine.

    Received Ergo Delta grips today.
I didn't take a pic since it looks no different than what is pictured.
Feels good in my hand and is everything is claimed.
My little finger has a grip.
My middle finger behind the trigger has rubber between it and the metal.
The back of the gun, the "spine" has a a rubber covering.
The angle that it forces you to have would seem to put the recoil more in line with the entire arm and not so much focused on the wrist.
All that is theory till the range this Sat.
My son-in-law is coming in town from TN and I hope to take him to the range, under the pretense to having fun at the range, but you know I just want to try out my new Ergo Delta grip on the snubbie, try out my "other" Smith 64 .38, and more rounds through my favorite new toy (Sig Sauer 1911-22), and if my Ruger LC9 doesn't sell Friday as is supposed to, put more rounds through it.

Oh, and I almost forgot, I should have measured the old grips one more time in my pocket hoster, but this takes up barely a little more room on the edge of the "flap" of my DeSanti Superfly pocket sticky holster.
    I am pleased.

OK, range report for the Ergo Delta grips on the Smith 642 38 sp. SS 1.87 barrel: good.
The recoil was handled better, it seemed, not as hard to hold onto.
No hint of pain b/c of the trigger guard hitting on my middle finger during recoil b/c there wasn't sufficient rubber from the grips between the trigger guard and where your top finger is on the grip.
Shot pattern was tighter for reasons of better handling of recoil.

The grips did not take away all recoil, just dispersed it better from the wrist to the arm: no miracles though.
I did not become a better shot, but a bit better pattern.
I was in a hurry since I had my son-in-law with me from TN and we had 6 other guns to shoot.

It was "fun" after shooting the two Smith 38s, model 64, to see my son-in-law trying to shake the pain out of his hand after going from the K frames to the J frame.

It Ergo Delta did what is was supposed to do: I am pleased.
No more attitude about my Smith snubbie.

MAN!!!!!!!!! that is one ulgy grip!!! but your post is making me reconsider it for my ultra lite 642!

    1. I'm a newbie at this, 1st grip I've ever bought in my life; they are innovative and I'm glad someone had the gumption to go against the grain for function instead of looks.
    2. They simply do what is claimed w/o out adding to the imprint much, only takes up a liitle more room on the right bottom edge of the grip, meaning it sticks up and over 1/2 - 1 inch of my DeSanti Superfly pocket holster with the flap for covering the handle.
