GSG accessory?

I have the GSG in my avatar. Wanting to know from maybe if any other GSG owners on here have replaced that rediculous lookin hand gaurd(the part directly under the barrel), for smothing a little cleaner looking. Thanks!

The GSG-5 is a copy of the MP5/HK94 so you can replace that handguard with any guard made for the HKs. You might check the GSG website, or the importer ATI (American Tactical Imports) because I believe they have replacement parts also.

The standard HK handguard needs modification for it to work on the GSG. On the GSG there are 2 tabs on each side of the trunion part of the receiver(where the barrel goes into it) where the stock locks into place. RRages sells the modified HK handguards but they are pricey. I've seen on other sites guys doing it themselves but some didn't look as clean. There is even one guy out there that put on a set of HK wood on both the buttstock and handguard. Check out ARFCOM they have a section totaly devoted to the GSG-5
