In your opinion, FWIW. NOT over my head, but it ignores the fact that, as a party, liberal democrats tend to vote as a block and that block is anti-gun. As well as being capable of incredible cognitive disonance when it comes to the Constitution. Not that the radical right is always completely logical, but there seems to be MORE logic there if your goal is a free state, run by its citizens. Not dictatorship by a few who claim to know how to run you.

I don't buy that Republicans want to control us. I vote GOP and don't want to control anybody. I have rubbed elbows with several GOP pols, none of which expressed an interest to control me. A true GOP pol IMO wants to reverse our trend toward socialism. I have a real problem with those who wish to change my way of life, namely Dems.

You're right, they just want to run the country based on christian rule and control what women can do with their bodies and who can marry who. Sorry but we are not a theocracy. This is my biggest problem with conservatives/republicans. If they believe so much in the constitution why do they want to force their religious views as law?

You're right, they just want to run the country based on christian rule and control what women can do with their bodies and who can marry who. Sorry but we are not a theocracy. This is my biggest problem with conservatives/republicans. If they believe so much in the constitution why do they want to force their religious views as law?

I am pretty sure they only want women to not kill babies they are carrying in their womb because that would violate that childs right to "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness..."That's not just Christian. Not killing unborn children is also part of the "Hippocratic Oath" that Doctors take that dates back to ancient Greece and predates Christianity...Abortion is basically playing "Whack-A-Mole" with a Human infant and there is a percentage of people that think that's kind of mean and cruel....

I am aware of no Republicans that care which man marries what woman or what woman marries what man. The concept of marriage between a man and a woman also predates most Religions...As humanity prgressed to a more agragarian society and began procuring wealth they wanted to insure their property would be passed on to their progeny and formal arrangments of a type of "marriage' were instituted to insure this...(along with Chasity belts later on)Unless there has been an evolutionary change that I am unaware of I see no reason why a marriage between two men or two women is needed.

IMHO there is no need for a "peace treaty" between two warring factions (Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus) when both parties are of the same sex....

All offered IMHO without any hyperbole stating that "Democrats/Liberal want to run the country based on a Soddom and Gommorah where Gay's rule and Christians are fed to the lions..."

See how easy it is to not get into mouth foaming hyperbole? Try it...It's fun...Everybody is doing it...Your handlers in the media won't mind if you stray off the Plantation a little...Hell...Your sociology Professor doesn't even need to know...I won't tell Lady Ga Ga or Rosie O'Donnell...Just try it....

Iguana Want to know how to control people better? How about naked, raw force... Why don't you ask the people of Venezuela and the Ukraine this morning? THAT is why the 2A matters. And those who would take it from you must be stopped. Period. No excuses. No quarter.

While I respect folks like Shibumiseeker and his opinions, there is a fundamental truth that must be remembered: No man can serve two masters. The same is true of RINO's - if you are a "while I respect hunters..." type, your 2A support is welcome - but should NOT EVER be counted upon.

This is why I keep repeating the mantra: We do not negotiate with terrorists and we do not negotiate with socialists/statists/leftists/whatever the hell you want to call them. And for exactly the same reason. (again some of the right-wing positions have this issue as well)

I am glad these folks support the 2A . That's nice. A vote for Obama/Pelosi/Reed is just as destructive to our freedoms if it comes from someone who says that they "support the 2A" as if it comes from Karl Marx himself. (again ditto for a RINO that won't stand up under fire - the only diff is that a congress-critter that's a RINO still adds a vote towards more pro-2a control of the house - even if they won't vote like that)


Anything less and you are on the slow road to Caracas, Kiev, etc. They will promise you freedom, gay rights, legal drugs, your favorite position on a divisive issue like abortion - whatever your liberal (or RINO) "happy button" is. They will tell you what you want to hear - UNTIL you are disarmed. Then the snake will bite you. But you have only yourself to blame. You knew what the liberal (or RINO, in fairness) snake was when you picked it up.

For what it's worth I don't associate with either major political party, since they are one and the same.

So we are a theocracy if we have a problem with killing our young? I'm conservative and big on the Constitution. I have no desire to force any religion on anybody. I also expect that no one will use religion as an excuse to kill me or dictate how I live.

Thank You for this! I am NOT a conservative and I'm NOT religious at all but I'm a gun owner and avid shooter. When I first started lurking on INGO I was really turned off. I hated it, Every post seemed like it was bad mouthing liberals. If it wasn't for an old friend convincing me to come back I would have thought everyone on here was a crazy religious right wing nut job ( now i realize there are only a few of you) lol. Trust me when you go on about Socialism and Communism and bashing people with different views than you it's not helping the cause. This place should embrace all 2nd amendment supporters not just christian republicans.

I'm not a social conservative either. Come on think about it, why on earth would posters on a gun forum be bad-mouthing liberals and Democrats? Would it have something to do with the fact that they have and are continuing to attempt the defecate on the 2nd Amendment every chance they get? Wanna compare gun laws of red states and blue states? Wanna come up with a list of anti-gun politicians and compare their political affiliations? Think about the limp wristed anti-gun people who have called for violence against NRA members, who do you think they vote for? Generally speaking, liberals are a cancer to the 2nd Amendment, but you already know this. Do "liberal" gun owners approve of what the trash they elected are trying to do to the 2nd Amendment?

As it pertains to bashing Socialism and Communism, they're repulsive ideologies that have resulted in nothing but death and misery. Call me part of the problem if you want, but the real problem is "liberal" gun owners voting for Democrats who support gun control. After Sandy Hook, one party stood for the 2nd Amendment and the other stood against it. Lastly, as a gun owner and a 2nd Amendment supporter tell me why liberals deserve my praise?
