If you don't understand why it's important to define the things you want to ban, you're not just a major part of the problem, you're a ****ing moron. You don't even belong in the conversation.

It's a facile explanation of why America has such a high gun violence rate compared with Switzerland. Can't possibly be because Switzerland is for the most part a homogeneous culture, and that they score very low on the Gini index, which has a much higher correlation coefficient with violent crime than does gun ownership rates. So basically they ignore all the reasons for violent crime and decide that the most important reason why Switzerland has such a low "gun violence" rate, is....it's illegal to transport loaded guns.

prof Killias said:
There is no point taking the gun out of your home in Switzerland because it is illegal to carry a gun in the street.

:lmfao:

Oh professor. You naive little man.

Let's see some higher cultural and income diversity over there and see how that law works out for ya. If we could trade Zürich for Chicago, I think they'd begin to understand that it's a little more complicated than simply restricting guns. Their laws work for them because it is in their culture to obey the laws, not because the law protects them. Is murder not against the law too in Switzerland?

Assault Weapon in New Jersey, 1990-2018, Proposed Assault Weapon on Florida Ballot Proposition. Banned in Australia

Someone not interested in definitions, or laws that are specifically spelled out, always think they will be the ones setting the standards on the "minions", then are surprised when the boot is on their neck.

[h=1]Do You Know Body Armor Laws In YOUR State? Here’s The List For All 50 States[/h]
https://rightwingtribune.com/2019/08/14/body-armor-laws/

[h=4]INDIANA[/h]Anyone can buy and use bulletproof vest in Indiana except those with felony conviction. Bulletproof vests and other body armor can be bought face to face or online. People who intentionally or knowingly use body armor when committing felony will commit unlawful body armor use, which is a Class D felony. The new law states that people who intentionally or knowingly use body armor when committing felony commit unlawful body armor use, which is a Level 6 felony. The law doesn’t affect retailers, only criminals.

I had no idea who he was. Still don't.

He was the lead singer for Driveby Truckers - southern rock band. Kinda surprised by his view on guns.

He's gone solo. Love this song. Gives me chills.

Meh. He’s kinda retarded.

I posted this in a thread one time hoping Kut would give it a listen. This is Drive By Truckers. And Kut, being an Alabama man might find it interesting.

I know the song. It explains very well why ultimately I have a positive opinion of George Wallace, Malcom X, and Nathan B. Forrest. All three were, at one point in their lives racists POS, in their later year they tried to make amends. I can respect any man that owns his bad behavior.

I admit that it was eye opening to me. Like he says at the beginning of the "story/song", I, along with probably most non-southerners only knew of his racist early career. Then, as now, it tends to be the negative things that make the news.
