i suppose. if I were the gun owners of the county I'd protest outside the journalist's home, and have an association like INGO assaulting the dude's mailbox with nasty letters.

Not really. Its the Freedom of Info Act. We gave the govt our info when we legally purchased our firearms. Though I wasnt affected directly by the newspaper disclosure...I did dig into the blogs..reports...etc. Im not sure if I would care if my name was listed. Im not a criminal...nothing to hide. Anyone who sees my truck knows I support the NRA. Plus, the bad guys know...if they break in, they might not come out.

I returned the favor...and copied and reposted the names, addy and phone numbers of the papers editors...ceo...writers...etc. :-)

I wondered that myself, HavokCycle. Can you imagine the outcry if they had published the name of every woman who had had an abortion. It's another completely legal activity (my views on it may differ) that some think should be illegal. Funny, the SCOTUS ruled that that act is covered by a "right to privacy" but gun owners are "outed". Statist anti-gun fear mongering at its worst.

Saw a segment on FOX today about a woman who left an abusive relationship. Her name popped on the newspaper list...Now, the lady is freakin' out...someone calling her home and hanging up, thinks her ex found her. Congrat Journal News. Idiots.
