Please help me understand...
Why is it that gun makers produce large numbers of guns but do not provide an ample supply of spare parts? I understand if you are producing a couple of thousand guns, no money to be made in spare parts with such low production volume.
I've been looking for a clean stock for a Remington 572. Remington has made these since the 1950s in large numbers. Try and find a stock, especially the older type. Forget it. And this isn't just a Remington problem. I could go in with other manufacturers.
Can anyone tell me why spare parts are so poorly supported for large volume firearms? Am I missing something?
