Ok so yeah i'm getting my first real big nice safe, lets say i live in an apartment, ok size apartment, with a woman, who doesnt wanna give up closet space, i'm thinking of course it should go in the closet, give up a little space(its a pretty large walk in closet), she thinks it should just be in our bedroom room in the corner of the room. If someone broke in to steal stuff it would be hard to miss this safe in the first place, so does it really matter where it goes? Should i even try to convince her it needs to be in the closet? I'm thinking it needs to go in the closet, and am bored right now so i thought i'd open it up for discussion on INGO!!

She must really need the space if she's willing to live with a safe at the foot of the bed.

Its a Johnson safe, the thick one too :)

You should be able to leave that out on the front porch if you'd like. I wouldn't, but you'd probably get away with it.
From what I understand, Johnson's are some of the best safes money can buy.

You can tell it's starting to get late on INGO:laugh:

:twocents: Put it where it'll be convenient to get to. Mine's not hidden in a closet.

A "real big nice safe" won't fit in an apartment closet. It's a foolish place to put one even if it would.

If you are in a second floor apartment, you might want to inquire on the max lb/sqft load rating for the floor. A good heavy duty safe, fully loaded, can weigh well over 100 lb/sqft.
