INGO Members,

I was informed this evening, by a fellow councilor and member of the Republican caucus, that Proposal 39, 2010 is dead. He said it does not matter how much work I put into it. He said there is no way they will vote to send it to the full council. They do not want to embarrass other Republican councilors or the Mayor for their anti gun stance. This tells me that the Republican caucus is full of cowards. They do not have the guts to stand up to the mayor. They would rather continue being his rubber stamp.

Many have asked what they can do. First, call your councilor's. Call everyone of them. Tell them that you want them to allow prop 39 to get a fair hearing in front of the full council. Second, stand behind me this next Monday as I introduce a Special Resolution stating that the city of Indianapolis agrees with Attorney General Zoeller's recent friend of the court brief.

The first 10 amendments of the US Constitution are called the Bill of Rights. Lets remind them that the 2nd Amendment gives us the right to bear arms. This is a right. It is not a priveledge or a suggestion. A suggestion is just that, it is suggested. A priveledge is something that has to be earned. They need to remember that these are our rights. They can not cherry pick the ones that they like and leave the rest.

Don't give up. Don't let them kill this Proposal. This is our right and we should be willing to fight for it. Please contact me if you want to do something more.

I used to work at a place that was full of judges, senator's, rep's, you name it.... doing anything that will make someone on the same party as you is a BIG BIG BIG no no... so them not standing up to the Mayor is no suprise. Like any line of work they are doing what they need to do to protect their job..... sad but true. I am not saying to give up, just saying why this stuff is.

    Fixed that for you. :)

Good luck and go get them!

... It has ceased to be! It's expired and gone to meet its maker! This is a late parrot! It's a stiff! Bereft of life, it rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed him to the perch he would be pushing up the daisies! Its metabolical processes are of interest only to historians! It's hopped the twig! It's shuffled off this mortal coil! It's run down the curtain and joined the choir invisible! This.... is an EX-PARROT!

Because the democrat's are perfect angle's...........

"But look at them...!" is about the same as a guilty plea you know.

I can't think of a better reason to NEVER vote for any one in either major wing on the ONE BIG UNI-PARTY. They the best reason they have for support is their opponent. They are all liars and thieves and you've just acknowledged it.

It's not because the democrats are angles or angels, it's because REPUBLICANS ARE POLITICIANS AND SO ARE DEMOCRATS. It's not a republican/democrat thing. It's a worker bee/queen bee, serf/rulers, POLITICIANS/citizens.

People who can't see that are the reason we are where we are today. They keep repeating the same thing they do every election and are surprised when the country continues down the same spiral path.

Your post was as if it was a republican issue but both sides are not perfect.

I am about done with the republican or democrate only think they are pretty much all crooked......... trust me I know thank's to previous employment that I had.......

I see voting any more as choosing the lesser of two evil's. I also am not afraid to point finger's on both sides of the fence, even if I voted for that person.

Just in case it's not clear, Mr. Coleman left the Republican party over a year ago and officially joined the Libertarian party.

Please remember that when election time comes. I think many people here can agree that neither the Reps or Dems are actually representing the people who elected them nor the Constitution. If all the people who said, "I'd vote Libertarian if I weren't afraid XYZ might win" actually voted on the L ticket, the Libertarians might actually win.

    Can't argue with that.

When election time roll's around people just post up reminding us about Mr. Coleman.

Gun sites, this one included, are full of gullible rabid Rush Limbaugh republicans blaming the worlds woes on what ever talk radio called liberal, socialist, or democrat yesterday. Not a bit different from a few places I visit who favor the other half of the ONE BIG UNI-PARTY.

They call me right wing facist, this place thinks I'm commie protectionist.

I figure I'm pretty well dead nutz on the money.

I can say right now, come November, it ain't gonna be pretty. With a few notable exceptions (thank you Councilman Coleman for all of your hard work), if I see "incumbent" next a name, I won't be voting for them. Mr. Coleman showed great courage coming here to let us know directly where his proposal stands, and that gets a big  from me. All of these other *!&@^#%$ can go find jobs in the private sector for all I care.

Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny.
