Gunsite academy

I was talking to a good friend of mine from Wyoming and he was telling me about Gunsite academy out of Arizona. He swears by it for training. It is pretty pricey with the ammo shortage and all but says its the best training out there. I have been looking into them and they have a few classes in Lebanon Indiana. The website is www.gunsite.com If anyone has been to one please share because when I save up the money I will be attending it!

I took they're pistol class up in Lebenon. Well worth the time and money. I am planning on going out to AZ For their 250 class as soon as I can come up with the extra money. The only thing you don't get by taking their class locally is the experience of a shoot house.

If I don't make it to Lebanon this year I'll be going next year for sure, and eventually Arizona. Was is more tactical shooting or just target at Lebanon?

Talk to CraigH at Sand Creek or the next South Central shoot. He did the 150 locally and has been out to AZ a couple times. He can fill you in.

Edit: sorry Shawn. For some reason I thought you were Shawnba67. Too many Shawns around. But I bet if you PM CraigH he would give you a solid opinion about the GunSite locations and programs

I took Gunsite 150 in Lebanon with Sheriff Campbell, Jay Tuttle, and Dave Harris back in 2008. It was my first real training course. It's a great course for a beginner.

They were still teaching the Modern Technique and promoting 1911s so the material is a bit dated IMO. But a solid course nonetheless.

It seems like there is a good selection of quality training in the area.
