Some good looking ak sbrs in here. I have an m92 that I put a form 1 on and am in the process of building an 11.5 ak from a flat that will be on a form 1 as well. Whats the advantage of putting it on a form 4 over a form 1?

I had this exact thing done with an Arsenal SLR106UR by ZR Tactical (including engraving their info). They also had to open up the gas ports a bit to account for the shorter barrel, but my Arsenal runs great. ZR Tactical is located up in Noblesville, IN.

Adding my 2 cents. Lots of folks in other threads have mentioned Advanced Weapons Systems in Greenwood. I dropped an AK-102 clone off July 27th to have the gas block replaced, barrel cut back to the gas block and a new brake pinned and welded on and the rifle refinished. It was set up like a CR model so the barrel would lose about 4". We talked about that when I dropped it off. They said it would be 4-6 weeks at most.

Fast forward six weeks and I emailed them as I was going to be in Indy on business. Turns out they hadn't remembered about the extended brake and said I needed to talk with them on what brake to now use. I stopped in on Sept. 18 and no work had been completed. Rifle sat in pieces but that's it. After talking about the needed length of brake, the smithy said he would email me a couple choices. Haven't heard anything since. So maybe they do good work but their communication is crap. I am letting it go until I get back from vacation then it gets serious.

    For my inner AK purist:

    Tula 4.5mm stock
    shiny Russian plum grip
    Tula vented handguard
    Tula muzzle booster
    Russian "dog leash" sling

Even have the Russian canvas drop case
