I bought a Suunto Traverse Alpha a couple years ago ahead of my first elk hunt in Colorado. This thing is great. It allows you to set and label specific way points, can record your path as you hike so you can follow the same route back, has a built in gps compass, will read your elevation and give you both distance and elevation differential between marked points. Not too bad for a wrist watch.
