Same here. $599 is way above my price point if they are blowing them out. Get closer to the Mossy blow outs maybe even $300 or less then we're talkin... I don't 'need' one but I have my price. :yesway:

While tempting, I agree that ar15 prices make it hard to compare. I have several and the parts are easy to change/repair if need be. PSA and Anderson have had sales on stripped lowers under $40 from what I have seen lately.

Couldn't give me a time frame but said they will get marked down further if no sales. If you time it right, you might get a steal on one like some got when they marked the ARs down half price.

Worth repeating. I WASN'T SAYING GO BUY A MINI 14 FOR $599. I WAS SAYING THAT FOR THOSE THAT WANT ONE, IF YOU'RE PATIENT, AND TIME IT RIGHT, YOU MIGHT GET ONE FOR $400.

And no, I don't want one.

I wasn't trying to start an AR vs Mini 14 thread.

Not comparing it to any other rifle..
I have a mini thirty and dang it if it isn't fun to plink. Granted you are guaranteed several light primer strikes if you use brendan primers. I will never depend on a mini-30 but Im one of those that considers "fun" an applicable use in my hobby. I picked one up years ago at a great price and it's not going anywhere anytime soon.
