First set of twins spotted! Another doe was directly behind this one with a single.

I have had several dozen deer sighting this year in my yard. NOT one fawn.
When you see the twin fawns. Scrutinize then for any difference.
I only got that prospective one year.
I have not had a set of twin that close again.

A friend posted pictures on FB the other day of triplets at her pond. We see quite a few twins most years. We have had triplets in our neighborhood as well.

We have a few running around the area. Seen one this morning.

I found the neighbor's beagle dragging the rear two hindquarters of one through my yard. Hard to tell what might have happened to it, but the beagle didn't kill it. They did just cut hay next door and the yotes are certainly among us.

I think we do lose more than we realize to the hay mowers. I would feel awful if I hit one that way, but I suppose it is part of farming since they can't be easily seen before the mower finds them. I've seen pictures of deer caught in combines as well...rather unpleasant. Coyotes are thick here so I wonder how many fawns we are losing to them. Hubby shot five coyotes this year during hunting season. I see at least three different ones on our trail cams regularly including one pair that probably has pups now.

When I went out to get the mail this afternoon, I had a fawn and her mother cross the driveway about 15 feet away from me. I was coming back up to the house and heard something in the leaves/woods to my right. At first, I thought it was a squirrel but then saw something move and thought it was a dog. The fawn trotted across the driveway pretty close to where the camera is that picked up the others previously. It went off into the woods to my left, and just as I was wondering where mama was, she came sprinting out of the woods chasing after her baby. I had pretty much frozen in place as the fawn passed through and mama didn't even look my way though I am sure she knew I was there. It was very cool to have them pass so close to me!

last night I was looking out my back window.
In the moon light i seen something move.
I lite it up with my flashlight.
There was Mother Racoon and her 4 pups.
They had to be about 2+ months old.
They were the cutest ball of fur.
    Mother was eating watermelon ryne.
The pups would run up and take a bite and then run and play.

I looked out my kitchen window as i sipped my morning coffee.
I noticed some movement out back. I seen it was a couple of deer.
I grabbed my Binoculars. There was 3 Does and 3 fawns.
It looked like 2 of the fawns were from one Doe (by how they hovered around one Doe).
I did have presents of mind to take photos. now I just need to know how to post here.
All this year I had many (same or different?) deer (antlerless) deer eating form my deer feed blocks. no fawns.
I did see two of last years young ones are now spike bucks.

Funny this got bumped today... last night I had 7 does 3 single fawns and a set of twins out in the field... some of them bouncing around playing...

Sadly while I was at work report was a coyote eating a turkey in my front yard and my buddy couldn't get a shot on it before it took off.

This was in the evening the other day.

This guy came through and I had zero deer pictures overnight on my cameras the next morning. I hadn't seen any yotes for a couple of weeks. Neighbors said they had a big one laying in their horse pasture this morning after killing one of their chickens. They didn't have a clear shot at it with the horses in the way, but he was just laying their resting....pretty darn bold.
