I went ahead an dove headfirst into the .458 Socom realm and have found a lot of useful information on this site already. I'm a beginner at loading my own ammo, so any information you can give me on where to get brass for that round or what loads to use, etc., please let me know.

Welcome to INGO. 458 is a great round. I used my SOCOM last year on deer and I'm taking it to Tennessee next month on a hog hunt :rockwoot:

My limit is 150 yards. Some will shoot farther but that's as far as I will comfortably shoot.

My friends and I are planning a hog hunt for next year and I figured this would be a good round. I have a 30-30, but I like the mag fed if i'm hog hunting.
