help giving back this season

I bought a new tv and the new xbox one this morning and when I got home and pulled my old tv off the wall to hang the new one I decided I had a lot of good fortune this year and would like to give back. I bought the xbox for myself but decided not to open it and instead give it and my old 42" plasma away to a deserving kid. I don't know anyone that is in that bad of shape that they won't be able to get their kids anything nice. How would you go about finding someone who needs this much more than myself?

Ask around? Find co-workers with deserving kids? Keep your eyes open.
Could even offer it at a school or ymca as a prize for some contest (art, sports, whatever)? Or even go to your local boy scout/girl scout troop and find whoever sold the most popcorn/cookies and award them with it?
Perhaps hold a raffle thread on INGO?
