I had a Daisy Red Ryder when I was a kid. I have always liked lever guns.

I didn't even shoot my eye out.

I’m glad we’re living in a rich time for lever look-alikes. Marlin or Pre64 Winchester’s are the only thing that cuts it for me.

Think somebody could make a newer version that had a bit better lines

For me the rifle must work all the time, be accurate, have clean lines, made with best materials, and very important have perfect balance.

Dumped my EG after Lightfoot scope mounted.
Threw the balance/ feel way off.
1935.....decent trigger.
But that rig felt horrible scoped

I have to admit, I had a strange desire for a Marlin 45-70 "dinosaur hunter" Guide Gun after seeing the movie. Considering building a .458 Socom or 450 Bushmaster on one of my extra lowers in case of the dinosaur apocalypse. I have the zombie apocalypse covered...

So what's that notch on the buttstock? A bottle opener?

Fixed sling point. No swivel. It kind of looks like the one up by the fore end rail section.

Might also be known as "distinctive styling". Or maybe it is a bottle opener?

I can see the appeal. I'd like to look at one in the flesh before I pass final judgement though.
