I purchased a bucket of crap FEG hi power off a guy on here years ago. Just now getting around to messing with it. It was missing the trigger lever which was the only functional issue amongst a whole bunch of really deep pitting (that's the easy part).

I put the new trigger lever in and the rear part of the trigger spring does not seem to be putting ANY tension on the lever, therefore the lever falls forward, not rearward, and will not interact with the transfer bar. If I point the gun in the air the lever falls backwards and I can get the gun to function as it should. I have a new spring on the way and am hoping that maybe some shade tree gunsmith just fubared the current spring, but in the mean time I was wondering if anyone has ever ran into an issue like this before?
