I feel the exact same way. Love the feel of the VP9 and shot it better than any pistol I've ever fired. Not to disuade anybody, but the European style mag release is the only thing that would make me hesitant to carry it.

PSA had the VP9 Tactical with threaded barrel and night sites on sale for $549.99 this week. Almost too good a deal to pass up. It's been in and out of stock all week. If I had any spare cash I would grab one.

    H&K VP9 Tactical 9mm Pistol W/ Threaded Barrel & Night Sights, Black

Looks like its back in stock. I went with the P30SK a couple years ago when it came out with mag deal. Then tried a Walther P99c AS. The P99's reset is probably 1/10". Very crisp.

My son bought one as I salivated next to him. When I shot it I was hooked. I shot better with that than my Glock 19 that I've owned and carried for 6 years.

Just recently I given a lot of thought to trading my 19 for one.
    We'll see.
My dream came through. My son sold it to me since he's financing a new /used car.
Next paycheck means many boxes of ammo for it.

You should buy a glock and skip the HK, because HK hates you! Purple where needed lol I didn't like the price of mags but with the free mag deal it looks a lot better. Not for me but for somebody lacking a good 9mm it would be solid.

I almost bought one, I think they are probably the best looking poly gun on the market with awesome ergonomics. I didn't like the 15 round magazine in a full size gun and didn't like the magazine release. Bought a P320c then sold it after the recent events and have gone full M&P now. Love both of mine.

I find the mag release to be fine. I got used to it pretty much instantly, although I don't shoot is as often any more, I seem to be able to switch back and forth easily between the H&K paddle and the "standard US" button release.

Hk vp9 is a great gun, I believe the more recent models have come with the .40 cal spring which makes the gun function more reliably. Mine was failing for a bit but I saw a video on youtube recently and swapped out the recoil spring and its been running great. I may consider bringing it back into my carry rotation.

I'm getting the itch to try a P30SK V3. Their price on Grab-a-Gun is $499 (regular sights), with the VP9SK being $10 more. I'm a hammer guy, and I don't think I've seen a bad review on the P30SK yet. Or the VP9SK for that matter. And, like many others, I am a fan of the paddle-style release... had it on my PPQ M1, and loved it.

Great price...and I want one...just trying to justify it. Not that having another gun needs justification necessarily, but there are others I am more interested in at this point. But if you want it...have the means...I cant think of anything that should stop you! Big fan of HK's for quality and engineering...they are pretty amazing in that respect. So yeah...go for it and let us know what you think as a new owner!
