Okay Guys and gals. I want to look into doing a hog hunt the next time my fam gets south a little ways. Don't want to just pick an outfit out of the back of a mag. I want a referred outfit. That is better for me and could be good for you. I would take one with a gun, but also would like a shot with a bow. From a Tree. Thanks

Give me 14 days and I can tell you a lot more. I'm leaving on the 6th for an outfit in Texas. Home - Hunting Ranches in Texas | TX Wild Hog & Boar Hunts is the web site, they have reasonable priced hunts. Two people, 3 days, 2 nights, one trophy hog each 300 pound minum, one meat hog each and 3 varments each(bob cat, mountain lion, coyote, ring tail cat). They claim the trophy hogs have been averaging 500+. $1200 this includes room and board, and guide fee. Gratuity not included.
I can give you a full report in a couple of weeks. Any other questions feel free to pm me.

Look up Ken Moody's operation in central Tn. I had a good friend go down there a couple years ago. He got a nice one with a bow. He said it was a good operation.

I went hog dogging with this outfit and they had me on hogs on Day 1 within about 1-2 hours. Looks a little hokey but they get you on wild hogs.

If you want a European (Russian) boar, you need to use a place that breeds them. Preferably up north in winter if you want one for a trophy (real nice coat). The wild stock in Florida is non European feral stock.
