"We're not just going to be throwing them in the air willy-nilly, flying over people's backyards to see if they're growing marijuana," Indiana State Police Capt. David Bursten said. "We're going to have to have a warrant — as we should — and be able to articulate why we'd be flying in an area."

Hopefully this remains the interpretation of the courts.

In an unrelated story, Pfizer (maker of Viagra) donated millions of dollars to the "stop the drones" campaign.

Well, unless it has <<-POLICE->> on the side so I can read it...

I'll just have to assume that it's a neighbor peeping into my windows.
I'll be forced to grab my gun with both hands and do my best not to expose myself to any undue photography.

Because no one wants me exposing myself... especially on camera

What is it with law enforcement and toys?

The White County Prosecuting Attorney has a frickin' drone. In order to spy on the soybeans and hogs I assume.

Can't we take their toys away?

Personally, I don't see what's wrong with the old method of air surveillance.

Um, 39 hours is not quick, even by White County standards. Oh, they found her inside an hour but then walked away.

Nothing illegal with them having toys, but there has to be some sort of oversight or they will buy stupid stuff like MRAPs or magic beans.

I was just at the beach. Drones are everywhere! You never see or find the person flying the drone. They typically fly 10 feet or higher over the girls............ugh......

The foot/vehicle search was 39 hours long...lots of people, lots of gas, lots of overtime. The drone found her in a couple hours ending all the searching, all the overtime, and saving her life according to her doctor. Yay drones!

    You can't buy an MRAP.

Some years ago there was a guy who suggested there be absolutely no laws re: the flying of drones. But only if it was also legal to shoot one down.

I don't believe them. This is classic foot in the door.

Do not think this is just in New York City.
21 drones with a plane circling to maintain eye contact. and indiana state police wifi signals up. Looking in my barn neighbors barn lake following moving cars ect. Close to a large prison in indiana and I believe they were practicing maybe a prison escape.
We now have microphones listening and thinking about our own "airphorce"
