I've got one that I've shot one handed several times, just to show off. Lol. But I'm also 6’2" and weigh 300lbs. Don't know if this helps or not?

If you want to hit what you are aiming at get something with a full stock, if you want you can get a youth model if size is an issue. But IMO pistol grip only shotguns are worthless for accuracy.

I'm not one to go for a purely pistol gripped shotgun. I don't personally find any more inconvenience in having a stock on them but they are much more simple to handle. If you do want to go with a pistol gripped shotgun though, I am a fan of Remington, however, the mossberg 500 cruiser and such have the safety on top of the receiver which makes it essentially ambi and I think it is easier to actuate with just a pistol grip.

I've found that my adjustable stock is easier to handle than pistol grip only, but have been fortunate not to need it in a "pressure" situation. My advice, make sure the action is nice and loud, that sound alone has convinced burglars to seek softer targets.

Pistol grip with an adjustable stock, I would never go pistol grip only. My Remington 870 is set up this way currently and i'm very happy with it.

Go with a stock. If you shoulder all your long guns, this what you will do under pressure and operate best. Put a light mount it.

Have you ever seen police, SWAT or the military train with one. If not there probaly a good reason for that. Try and shot one accurately fast and under stress and you will see its a bad ideal. Don't get me wrong they are cool and fun to shot but I want to make sure I hit my target and not my family if someone in my house that should not be.

I have a Mossberg 500 with a pistol grip on it. It is very hard to shoot accurate, with point shooting. I have practiced some and am better at it, but a shotgun with a stock is still much more accurate. Also if shooting full load buckshot rounds in 12G, it really hammers you. Point of interest, I own pistol grip shotguns in 12G, 16G, and 20G. 20G is much more pleasant to shoot.
