the gop guy says that this is a step in ending the administrations "shadow government". but bush is the one who is the most shadowy president in history (led the way). Im so sick of all the political games these worthless pieces of congress **** play with each other in their attempt to fool the american people. time to bite the hand that feeds us crap! That would be BOTH parties by the way.

    Better than nothing.

I'd like to see them pass a bill that requires all Presidential Appointed positions to be confirmed by the Senate or simply do away with them completely.

"Czars" have been around since at least Franklin Roosevelt administration.
They aren't something new that began in recent times.
But there has been a disturbing increase in their numbers in recent history.

What is a "czar?" I think this is mostly a media contrived term as it relates to U.S. officials. It's a coined phrase used to describe high ranking ad-hoc program directors. There are lots of such people in most all governments and large corporations. Article II of the Constitution provides for the Senate to "advise and consent" on presidential appointments as determined by Congress. Bottom line, where is the bottom line? Does Congress want to give the Senate an "advise and consent" role for federal dog-catchers?

Ranger is right, this is political crap each party plays against the other. "Nothing new, out."
