    Well some employers frown on seeing a folder clipped in your pocket. I like mine because its consistant. If I'm wearing khakis, jeans, or pocketless gym shorts its always there. I don't forget to change it over with a change of clothes and its in the same position. Its a tool and I treat it as such. I would only rely on it as a last chance weapon, its effectiveness relies on its accessibility, and your familiarity/training.

    To me the advantage of a necker is that you have a fixed blade and to me the advantage of a fixed blade is that it can be double edged...I happen to like double edged karambits! Folding karambits are not double edged:(

    BTW, since the karambit "was originally an agricultural implement designed to rake roots, gather threshing and plant rice"..."what weapon, I am a gardener carrying my work tool with me"!:)
