Any brass or non-ferric metal will not get picked up by a magnet. Steel cased ammo and part of the shotgun hulls are ferric and will cling to a magnet.

There is a thing called the Nut wizard. Nut Wizard: Pick Up Tool That Gathers Nuts, Fruits, Acorns, Sweet Gum Balls

It is weird but it works on 380 and up cases. Not much faster than a broom and dust pan.

For the 22 we just use a dust pan and broom.

I've got a nut wizard and it works great on hard even surface, not so much in gravel and grass

I don't know if you are kidding or not, but brass doesn't rust. It will tarnish, or the copper part of brass will get a patina, but brass does not contain iron, so it won't rust.
I'm talking about the kind that you can pick up with a magnet.

rust/corrosion, who cares, thats just semantics.

Now, brass will corrode, and if you have never seen a brass casing left out side for years you may not know, but brass will corrode, and left to do so long enough will scale and flake off.

I use these that way I don't get fingerprints on them when reloading. :)
